The Accounting Manager will be assisting the Controller with accounting operations of the company.


  • Manage accounting staff
  • Cash
    • Manage and record day-to-day cash activity
    • Summarize and post daily cash receipts
    • Review and evaluate customer credits taken
    • Manage cash collections and monitor customer credit limits
  • Accounts Payable
    • Oversee the scheduling of vendor payments
    • Ensure vendor invoices are properly coded
    • Process employee expense reports by receiving and verifying supporting documentation
    • Calculate monthly, quarterly, annual commissions
    • Calculate quarterly customer rebates
  • Inventory
    • Assist the controller with costing analysis
  • Payroll
    • Process bi-weekly payroll
    • Calculate accrued vacation
    • Assist HR with employee on-boarding
    • Process final payroll checks
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Post daily credit card activity
    • Provide management with weekly sales and open order reports
  • Assist the controller with the month-end close process, including preparation of monthly financial statements for each entity by the 3rd day of the following month end.
    • Reconciliation of bank statements to the general ledger
    • Reconciliation and preparation of supporting schedule of prepaid expenses
    • Maintenance of fixed asset schedule and calculation and posting of depreciation expense
    • Assist with month-end inventory costing and valuation process
    • Reconciliation and preparation of supporting schedules for all accrued expenses outside of accounts payable
    • Reconciliation of credit card activity
  • Support the controller and management with ad hoc requests, as needed



  • 5+ years of experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, Excel, QuickBooks, SAP and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
