Our client is seeking Assemblers to join their team. They’re looking for dedicated individuals who always show up for work on time and who thrive in a team-oriented environment. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in assembly and be capable of reading blueprints and schematics correctly. We need to fill these jobs immediately, so it’s important for new hires to hit the ground running.
As an Assembler you are responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. Requires mathematical, basic engineering, and technical skills to interpret plans. Also responsible for verifying correct quantities of components inventory and basic reporting. The ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment is beneficial in this role, as is an understanding of basic engineering principles and knowledge of safety procedures.
Read blueprints and verify the parts required prior to assembly
Assemble components accurately, and thoroughly to approved specifications
Double-check connections to ensure they match and notify shop foreman of any discrepancies
Some forklift may be required on occasion
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Maintain inventory of product in workstations
Maintain and service all equipment when necessary
High school diploma/GED required
Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
2+ years’ experience in general assembly work or specialized training
Ability to commit to flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shifts
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Experience with power and hand tools a plus
Basic math and communication skills required
This position is Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
