*We currently have a client who is a Production company specializing in Hydrographic decoration and painting in North Birmingham who is looking to add an Assistant Plant Manager to their management team.*

 

The Assistant Plant Manager’s duties include Shipping and Receiving, Inventory Control, Production Scheduling and Documentation, Quality Control and acting as backup for the Plant Manager with the Production Team and resources.

 

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • Managing customer Part Flow including Shipping & Receiving
  • Preparing outgoing shipments (Yamaha - Edict requirements for sending shipments)
  • Sending information to the office to prepare packing slip including: Parts, quantity, boxes & skid counts & weight
  • Receiving customer parts into CT Management System
  • Providing packing slip or paperwork to office
  • Sending the e-mail and generating the Packing Slips for any items received outside of normal models
  • Distributing parts to designated storage area for production parts and new development items
  • Notifing CT Management where parts are located for sample reviews
  • Receiving raw material and managing incoming shipments
  • Assist with New Product Development -Receiving and documenting any incoming customer samples and identifying and communicating requirements needed for Program to run in production
  • Packaging/Assembly/ Disassembly for Production
  • Inventory Control - Part tracking and reporting requirements with Count Verification as needed (Includes tracking Serial Number Components from Receiving to WIP)
  • Staging parts for Production per the schedule built by the Plant Manager
  • Working with the Office to fulfill customer requests
  • Back up for Plant Manager and supervision of employees processing parts
  • Quality - Recording Customer Rejects in System for Reject Tracking Compliance

(Be aware of Quality Alerts recorded by the Customer to communicate to the production personnel any issues. Communicate quality issues identified through inspection to Management and/or directly to the customer as needed. Take pictures of issues and compile reports describing the problem identified. Monitor the impact of issues and work through trouble-shooting methods.)

  • Production Systems -Make sure systems used in Production are working properly and communicate any issues to the office
  • 3 plus years experience in a Production environment.
  • Must pass a background and drug screening
