Job Description

Our partner is a growing nationally recognized full-service accounting, tax, and consulting firm and ranked one of the largest accounting firms in the U.S. with over 1,000 partners and staff and 14 offices. They are seeking an Audit Senior in their New York City office with the following: 

Responsibilities, but not limited to:    

  • Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries 
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls 
  • Preparation of tax closings, compilations, closing of books, reviews and tax preparation 
  • Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up 
  • Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards 
  • Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines 
  • Mentor, train and supervise lighter level staff 
  • Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel 
  • Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise

Job Requirements

 

Position Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree required 
  • CPA or (in progress) 
  • 3-5 years of experience within a public accounting firm required
  • Experience working with Real Estate clients, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including responsiveness to clients 
  • Strong organizational skills are required; multi-tasking abilities  
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills 
  • Ability to work well independently but also work well with others 
  • Approaches projects with a sense of urgency  
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications  
  • Knowledge of Profx, Caseware, and Go File Room is a plus
