Facilities Maintenance

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18 - $30 (based on experience)

Seeking full time maintenance technicians and for Tier 1 Automotive Facility located in the Sterling Heights. Responsibilities include completing service requests, unit turns and general property upkeep. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated. Strong candidates should have general maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting. Some weekend work will happen

Please note, we are looking for skilled people with experience in the facility maintenance industry. Previous experience as Building Maintenance Tech, Facilities Maintenance Tech, Property Maintenance Tech, Carpenter, Apartment Maintenance Man, Handyman

Maintenance Tech Responsibilities:

  • Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings
  • Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion
  • Order and replace broken parts or equipment
  • Maintain a clean and a safe work space
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Maintenance Tech Responsibilities:

  • Preventative/scheduled maintenance program and staff supervision.
  • Repair projects.
  • Cycle painting - interior/exterior.
  • Drywall Install/Repair
  • Electrical 420V Installation fixtures/plugs
  • Painting
  • Framing (Commercial Metal Studs)
  • Flooring Installation (mainly Laminate/Vinyl)
  • Safety.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • To attend classes, meetings etc, required by Management.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned


  • Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
  • Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle physical workload

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Carpentry: 5 years


  • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
  • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases
  • Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching; bending at the waist. Indoor/ out-door work environment with exposure to weather extremes
  • Must be able to perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, provide oral information, and possess the manual dexterity to handle and work with various materials and objects which are essential aspects of this position
