At Work Personnel of Jacksonville has a Manufacturing / Warehouse client on the Northside of town that is looking for a Inventory Control Specialist.  This will be working in their Return Processing Department.

 This job is responsible for the process of cycle counting product for the purpose of keeping the integrity of the perpetual inventory.  This job will consist of the processing of store returned product for the removal or to be stocked back into product bin location in the warehouse.  The incumbent will need to complete the tasks by following the Standard Operating Procedures put in place for Returns. 

 Primary Activities: 

  • Completes the sorting, receipt, disposition, and stocking of returned product from stores. 
  • Effectively communicates with customer service and other departments both internal and external. 
  • Properly uses Radio Frequency technology for the processing and put away of returns or for the performance of other job functions. 
  • Maintains productivity related to standards based on assigned task. 
  • Accurately counts SKU’s in file.  Maintains supply and inventory levels for product. 
  • Performs date entry of counts in cycle count system.   
  • Reviews/researches count discrepancies and make corrections based on established guidelines.    
  • Creates cycle count files and makes recommendations to improve inventory accuracy. 
  • Files completed count paperwork and prepares reports. 
  • Maintains a safe work environment, performs job functions safely and reports any potential job hazards to management.  Maintains good housekeeping practices in assigned areas.   
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested by management.  

Minimum Qualification Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous employment in a physical inventory capacity, or another inventory related environment preferred.
  • Computer, machine operator, warehouse management system knowledge, a plus.
  • Requires good mathematical competency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Excellent people skills.
