Job Description

At Work is working with a construction and manufacturing client that is located on the Northside of town in their search for a Order Fulfillment Associate.

The Order Fulfillment Associate’s primary job function is to receive and fulfill orders in a timely and accurate manner. The position blends of administrative and warehouse duties, requiring management skills. We are seeking candidates that can talk to customers and respond to emails, fill orders, and send invoices and tracking information as orders ship out. Would answer to the customer service manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative functions:

  • Receive and processing sales orders and invoices. Ensure paperwork and system tasks are completed and meet policies and standards.
  • Answer customer phone calls and email inquiries. Communicate through various channels (telephone and email) with inside and outside parties.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to management immediately.
  • Prepare quotes for sales reps
  • Track shipments for customers
  • Other administrative duties

Warehouse functions:

  • Picking and shipping products or materials. Improving pick accuracy.
  • Assist with unloading and receiving inbound freight shipments, counting all items received and delivering paperwork to administration. Notes any discrepancies in shipment manifests / packing lists, and actual items delivered.
  • Spot checks inventory and communicates discrepancies in system inventory and physical inventory to administration.
  • Multifamily shipment palletization.
  • Organizes and ships multifamily shipments by pallets when required.
  • Comply with quality control and safety measure


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old and present state-required proof of age documents
  • Previous experience working in a distribution center preferred
  • College preferred
  • Must be able to lift and carry boxes up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, bend and lift for up to eight or more hours daily
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, with varying responsibilities and work areas, using spoken and written English
  • Ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
  • Microsoft Office (especially Outlook) critical
  • Order processing software experience preferred
  • Forklift operation experience preferred

 

Must be able to successfully pass required Background and Drug Test
