Position Summary

The Human Resource/Recruiter is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting internal and external customers. This position carries out responsibilities or knowledge of the following functional areas: recruiting and staffing, onboarding, employee relations, policy administration and employment law compliance, training and development, human resource information systems (H.R.I.S.), and payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by understanding organization plans and objectives; meeting with hiring managers to discuss needs and studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Primarily responsible for managing AAP in Paycom and filing the AAP
  • Maintains sound employee/customer relations through coaching and mentoring.
  • Advises management on disciplinary procedures and terminations.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate notices and policies are communicated to the employees.
  • Maintains attendance records to include absenteeism, tardiness, vacation, sick, personal time and other time away from work.
  • Reconciles invoices for staffing agencies, benefits, background and drug screening, and other applicable vendors
  • 75% of this position will be recruiting internal Medical Device associates including experience with Information Technology and Engineering.
  • Managing the On-boarding process for internal and contract labor staff
  • Managing the 30, 60 and 90 day evaluation process
  • Responsible for assisting with Performance Evaluations
  • Managing the employee handbook and attendance policy
  • Managing and maintaining OSHA logs

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and three to five years in HR related fields
  • Human Resources coursework, PHR, SHRM – CP highly preferred.
  • Minimum three years benefits and HR personnel related experience.
  • Knowledge of current employment laws and practices preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year

  • 75% of this position will be recruiting internal Medical Device associates including experience with Information Technology and Engineering.
