AtWork is seeking a Welder MIG/TIG for our customer in Sacramento CA. This position is a possible direct hire position depending on background and experience.
Primary Job Function:
Coordinates, and exercises functional authority for completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
- Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld based on project needs
- Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
- Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
- De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
Education and/or Experience:
3 years of welding experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
